Information Munya handles
Munya stores information needed to provide your account and social wishlist, including your email address, display name, username, optional bio and profile photo, privacy preferences, wishes, collections, follows, blocks, reports, notifications, and gift reservation status. An optional date of birth is stored privately. Product searches are sent securely through Munya’s backend to retrieve shopping results.
How information is used
We use this information to authenticate you, operate your profile and wishlist, display content according to your privacy choices, prevent duplicate gifting, process reports, protect the service from abuse, provide support, and maintain reliability and security.
Public and private content
Your username, display name, profile photo, bio, and connection counts may be visible as described in the app. Public wishes may appear in search, discovery, profiles, and shared links. Private wishes are limited to you. Private accounts require approval before another user can access follower-only content. Gift reservations are designed to hide the sender and exact gift from the recipient until it is marked received.
Service providers
Munya uses service providers such as Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, databases, security, server functions, and performance monitoring, and SerpApi for shopping-search results. These providers process limited information on Munya’s behalf under their own legal and security obligations. Munya does not sell your personal data.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while your account is active and as needed to operate and secure Munya. You can permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your authentication account, profile, wishes, social relationships, private settings, and related operational records. Reports and moderation records may be retained in anonymized form when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Your choices
You can edit profile information, choose account and wish privacy, control connection-list visibility, block users, remove wishes, and delete your account. For a privacy or account question, contact support@munyaapp.com.
Age requirement
Munya is available only to people who are at least 13 years old. During registration, users must confirm that they meet this minimum age. If you believe someone under 13 has created an account, contact us so the account and associated information can be reviewed and removed.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as Munya evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice.
